Is Weber worth the extra money? I'm not trying to win any bbq contests just to make a couple of dinners a week on. What make Weber so much better?

Yes. Weber quality makes it much better. Charbroil is shite. Components will break. It's not well made. Webers last 10 years or more if you take care of it.

Weber is a quality grill maker. CharBroil is cheap materials cheaply put together.

Definitely get Weber, worth the extra $$ and will last way longer.

Big difference. Your Weber will last forever. Char broil will be done in 5 years.

I bought my Weber kettle in 2009 and have left it in the yard uncovered since. It shows no rust and looks new, outside of some dust.

Weber all day. I found a lightly used Weber kettle on marketplace for $60. Weber performer. Those things sell for $400.

Weber is the speed queen of grills.

My charbroil fell apart in three years. I cleaned it after every use and the LA humidity destroyed it quickly.

I bought a new Weber Genesis and cannot complain. The grill is much sturdier and is holding up much better to the environment. Order a cover with whatever you buy.

Smoking a pork roast and chicken thighs today though, FTW.

Still running my Weber I bought just before Katrina in 2005 is still going. Changed the burner lines once and that's about it. Charbroil can't compete.

I bought a Weber kettle 12 years ago. I bought the display model for a discount because the lid had a ding. It saved me a few bucks and I didn't have to assemble it. I didn't strap it down and it blew out of the back of my truck on the way home. Suffered only superficial damage. Have used it weekly since then and still functions as well today as it did 12 years ago. I'd say they're pretty solidly made.

What model are you looking at? I think you can get a Weber kettle for $100 at wal mart. Are you looking at propane?

i just bought a nexgrill $600 naturali gas grill. I love weber but i'm not paying a $1000 more comparison that may do a smidge better. I got 12 years out my last piece of crap grill.

22" Weber Kettle all day. It is the swiss army knife of cookers. I have slow cooked ribs, brisket, pork butt on mine as well as grill up burgers. I bought mine on market place for like 100 dollars and it is the top of the line pit.

I also have a Traeger, stick burner (offset), Char-Broil gas grill (never buy this)

The Weber is for sure the best bang for your buck.

I've kind of treated my Weber like shite, and we are 4 years in and it's still working well.

Bought a used smokey mountain for 200 bucks and it looks great.

They stand by their 10 year warranty. I'm 5 or 6 years into my weber which mainly runs great, but any part that has gotten rusty or corroded has been replaced for free no questions asked.

I had a CharBroil grill in the 80s that was a magnificent grilling machine, but they are dog squeeze now. Buy the Weber, and don't waste time worrying about it.

The Weber design is very good, like a BGE without the ceramic insulation, and they make quality products. I have a Primo that I love, but I have cooked on a Weber a few times and can definitely recommend them.

Weber's customer service is great as well. I've had mine for 15 years.
The main tub/body is steel, but some type of ceramic paint over the top. Mine started to rust through in a couple of spots - They sent me a new one under warranty - even though warranty is only 10 years.

I got a Weber Genesis in 2007. It’s lasted with me through 4 moves and a lot of use. I replaced the flavorizer bars once kept it out of the rain, and it’s as good as new.
