I love this continued programmed drivel. -what happened to Bill Gates’ system called Traf-o-data? What about windows 8? -What about Warren Buffet’s textile division of Berkshire Hathoway? -Larry Ellison and Network Computers? -How is The Metaverse doing for Zuckerberg? -Sheldon Adelson’s real estate ventures in Boston converting apartments to condos? -Michael Bloomberg’s firing from Salomon Brothers? -Jeff Bezos and Kozmo.com? -Carl Icahn’s investments in TWA, Blockbuster, and Time Warner? -Michael Dell and his smartphone? -Rupert Murdoch buying MySpace? -Charles Ergen’s blockbuster streaming service to compete with Netflix?
Most if not all of those you listed may have had failures, but also have some obviously huge successes and well-earned reputations. Several could be described as visionaries with foresight.
Trump’s greatest accomplishment in business is that he has been able to trade so well off the perception that he is successful. He’s certainly enriched himself that way, though he’s often left others holding the bag.

He's a real estate developer and a reality t.v. star.
So:
1. Exactly what other skills would someone in those two fields have other than the ability to self-promote and sell people on their projects? That seems like the major tool of the trade in both of those fields.
2. You said it yourself. He did enrich himself, so by definition at some point success is no longer a perception, it's a reality.
