Clenpiq for the win. 2 8 Oz bottles with a water chaser. 1 16 hours out and the other 8 hours out. Easiest prep I ever did.

I was like a jagger shot. Down the hatch and over quickly.

Half of the board is getting a colonoscopy

I guess that when a doctor tells a person they need something they just go ahead and do it. I had a colonoscopy years ago and told the doctor it would be a cold day in hell before I had another one. He suggested Cologuard. I refused that as well because if the results were abnormal he would order a colonoscopy and that is a nonstarter.

Did mine in January. Did the double prep. Crapped clear water for 8 damn hours. didnt even sleep the night before.

After the test , he said I was not "Clean" and wanted to do it again in 3 months.

Our conversation then turned dark

You should have them do the Upper GI and colonoscopy at the same time .... get it overwith.

Getting both done. Everytime.

Grandfather died of colon cancer so taking no risks.

from Covington to Metairie to pick up my "ride" and then to Touro in the a.m. I was still having intermittent BMs, so the trip across the Causeway was more interesting than usual.

That sucks. Should have used Jenkins in Covington.

Had my first yesterday. Found 1 large and 1 small polyp. I can call about lab results tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
There was lots of hunger and lots of down time around the house and both I detest.

I remember seeing something that Cologuard is so expensive that insurance providers will cover one or the other as a preventative. But if the Cologuard comes back positive you are on the hook for the colonoscopy at 80/20 or your typical cost share. But colonoscopy in lieu of Cologuard maybe included as preventative care at little to no cost to you with insurance.

Has anyone tried just standing in the shower with it running and shitting there? I think after the first few goes it would be suitable.

While I would never do that, I see the appeal after wiping for hours. But I actually got worse between 2-4am and had to take additional meds or postpone procedure. Been one helluva a day.

There’s no feeling like being told that you have colon cancer.
They caught mine right at the beginning-just a partial resection and no chemo or radiation. I still have blood drawn every six months. Believe me, you don’t want to see the really sick people I see every time I go in there, much less be one of them.
Have your colonoscopy, then take a good nap.
