If he starts next year we are in bad shape behind the plate. Passed balls galore and a .132 SEC hitter to boot.

He has shown recent improvement against SEC pitching. The passed balls are a problem but it is mostly a focus thing it seems like. He is younger being he graduated high school 1 year early and you hope he improves and has a little extra maturity as a player next season. That said, they should have some type of competition to push him. Not sure if they go after another catcher in the portal or ride with him and Priester. Also will be interesting to see if Arrambide makes it to campus. I don't think he is the answer year 1 as a freshman though. From what I read he has some work to do defensively and also hitting for average. Has a huge arm and lots of power in the bat though.
