Because the leaks from the team at the end of last year was, he could have returned to play but opted to sit on IR and not return. It appeared that he is unhappy with being here, is becoming an issue in the locker room, and wants out.

And, with the way his contract was restructured, it gave the impression that the team is looking to trade him. As a result, click bait thread titles from OP and many others from now until Latt is no longer with the team
