Why Start Tommy in Leadoff?

We have two weeks left of the season? Have we not semi figured out a routine lineup? Batting Tommy leadoff is something you haven’t done all year and you do it will 2 weeks left in season? Shouldn't we let at least some players get comfortable in a spot. Tommy did not come across comfortable and should not bat lead off.

This is one of my biggest complaints about Johnson. He needs to figure out a lineup and stick with it.

Line up construction matters almost nil in a midweek game. You’re just looking for something to bitch about.

Just wait. Next A B he is gonna turn around and bat lefty.

This reminds me of the five-sentence English paragraphs we had to write once per week in fourth grade.
It has the introductory sentence and the same concluding sentence, and it’s replete with fourth grade errors. It gets funnier every time you read it.

Because he only hits solo HRs.

They are probably trying to get him some extra at bats before the last stretch.

Just accept it and never question anything again.

Jay understands things us mortals can not see. Best not to question Jay.

We don’t have a true leadoff hitter so trying different things

Everything about Milam screams leadoff hitter, and he is pretty much the only guy on the roster that hasn’t hit leadoff yet, other than Travinski

Don’t we need to win every game to get in the post season? Should we not have the sense of urgency to win tonight?

shite...I'd hit Milazzo at leadoff at this point. Haha

Are y’all retarded? He’s hit lead off multiple times this year

I bet you hated Beloso leading off in the cws too. Let Jay do his thing.

and after the first inning, he effectively was the leadoff, with Tommy second and Jones 3rd. People make a huge deal about who leads off when, for al intents and purposes, it's only relevant for one inning.

We did that last year too, so I guess it's Jay's MO and it can work.
But this season, I think we needed to settle in and start trying to win (not experiment) before conference play. It might not maximize the team for the postseason, which is what I think he's doing; but you do need to make it to the postseason for that to pay off. And as of now, we're still on the outside looking in.
