Seems to me White is pressing too much when there are runners on base but relaxes more when no one is on and is then able to do his thing. But I'm a brain psychologist not a sports psychologist.

White's problem, is he thinks he going to hit a homerun every time he comes to the plate. There's more to TEAM baseball than that.

I mean White was maybe a foot away from a perfectly placed two-run single there, maybe not the best example of some flaw in his approach.
