re: 6' or 8' privacy fence for backyard?

I have a 6’ fence with a section of it being 8’ due to a shitty neighbor I had when I had it built. The 8’ section broke off the posts after bending the posts during Ida. I’m a cheap arse and decided to fix it myself - all by myself. Let me tell you, if you go 8’ and something similar happens to it, you better be willing to pay a crew to pick it up and reattach it because fixing mine was one of the most intense workouts I’ve ever gone through.
