There are no secret places to stay. Use your Marriott points or let google guide you. As for food, save fancy for another time. Enjoy some local spots like the Chimes or Sammy's or Superior or Roux 61. Plenty of good spots.

Yes, the secret place to stay is the Hyatt by the mall that you can book for 5,000 points. I can just transfer 5k from my chase ultimate points to Hyatt and stay there for free if we don’t stay at in-laws

Thanks! Thinking of doing airbnb instead of hotel. Is there a good part of town to stay in that won't make getting to the game too difficult. Was thinking about the garden district or south highlands maybe...
