There's still lots of good people in Scouts. Glad my oldest Eagled out just as Covid hit. Former Scoutmaster here and let me tell you, Boy Scouts really embraced the Covid world. It has tried to change / adapt, but yes, it's reflective of our current culture.

It's really about who runs your local troop. As a parent you can be as involved as you want and can still provide a great learning / character building environment for kids (hurts to not be able to just say "boys" there).

And congrats to you and your son. I know you, as a parent, were right there with him.
