Alot of good paying jobs do not require a 4 year Degree ,blue collar jobs can be had with trade school or short course, most Universities are forcing liberal idealology on college kids these days, unless your going for Business, medical, accounting or engineering, i would not go to college.

20 years from now Tigerdroppings is going to be littered with posts from a bunch of pissed of dudes whose parents pushed them into the trades.

For the sake of my argument I won't touch on if colleges are "indoctrinating" people or not, but just because you are being instructed in a way does not mean you have to adopt their way of thinking. If anything it would be beneficial to his critical thinking skills to be introduced to other viewpoints. There has been a movement on both sides of the political spectrum that their tender ears cannot and will not hear any dissenting voices and it's childish. So many these days want to live in a bubble. Also, you better watch out for the indoctrinating going on in the trade school, your boy will be chewing tobacco in no time.
