That doesn't even scratch the surface of the misery. You starve all day, drink the gallon of stuff that tastes as bad as cat piss smells, and then shite your guts out. That is the preparation for being sodomized with a foreign object.

Is the breach over 40 the cause of this? I feel perfectly healthy, why would I put my body through this strain if I didn’t feel it necessary? Just looking for answers to why do it. I’m a 33yo for the record.

For those that don't know, you're not supposed to have those as the dyes can coat the intestinal walls and potentially mask issues.

I don't recommend that. No way you will get any sleep the night before because you have to start drinking industrial-strength laxatives a certain number of hours beforehand and then run to the bathroom over and over again continuously for hours afterward.

Agreed. I was first in first out. At home and slept most of the day.

Best news is when you get the letter in the mail that says to schedule your next appointment in ten years.

If you’re gonna drink the drink ClenPiq is the way to go. Tastes like cranberry juice and mix it with some apple.

Doctors recommend it at 45 for everyone and at 40 if you have a family history of colon cancer. It seems men are at a higher risk than women.

I drank it straight, but it had a taste like cat piss smells to me. Might cut the second dose.

My wife had one last year. Doctor nicked some tissue removing the scope. Unfortunately, she had to have a second one 12 hours later to fix what the first doctor had messed up. The ER visit was an extra $28,000. Still fighting with insurance and the doctor to get them to pay. Should have been 100% covered by insurance.

I don’t think insurance even covers it if your under 40 or 45 unless you have a parent who had colon cancer.

I sent the stool sample last year that came out clean but started thinking of going in for the real one sooner than later. My research has led me to reading about injuries and people getting perforated. How can this happen so ofen?

You have to look at the number of these things done daily. Just like any procedure there is a risk but the bad outcomes are a tiny % …. they’re just scary to read about.
