I obviously don't know your whole situation but if she was generally good to you your whole life and made this HUGE mistake while mourning the death of her husband then I think you should try to mend fences. You only get one mom and one day she won't be here.

If she has always been selfish and screwed you over and this was the last straw then that's a different story.
