This should be expected for the Midwest and South all summer long

The SPC Day 1 discussion is one of the most complex I have read. There is a whole lot going into the setup over the next 2-3 days. Lots of moving parts.

Touched 91 degrees today here in NETx. Confirmed I'm not ready for what summer will bring, if anything like last year. Hate it.

2/3 of Kentucky is under a tornado watch. All of it besides Daniel Boone forest area. Haven’t seen that before.

Looks like all of Nashville and north central Tennessee is under a high risk tomorrow. That’s a lot of people under the gun.

Local news in Mobile is hyping a “level 2 “ risk for severe weather.

But rain chances are %30. Most of the models push rain and storms north of us but they are determined to keep the fear porn up.

The updated maps are in the OP of this thread but SPC has expanded the enhanced risk some for today and added an enhanced risk for tomorrow.

I’m surprised this storm south of St. Louis doesn’t have a tornado warning on it yet.

The Weather Channel just showed new video of damage in Limestone County, AL. It’s pretty significant. Looks consistent with an EF-2 or EF-3 type tornado.

NWS Huntsville is going to have a lot of surveying to do.
