If tweet fails to load, click here. So far there are four confirmed tornadoes across central and eastern north Alabama. The Henagar tornado gets a preliminary EF2 rating. That is a relief because it looked much worse on radar. That area is just difficult terrain for getting high quality radar data.

I’ve monitoring for two days and nothing has shown up for BR even though it’s been predicted. Even now thunderstorms predicted over the next two hours but I don’t see anything on the radar. Did it just dissipate over BR?

BR just sort of got skipped over with how things developed yesterday evening/overnight. There’s no severe weather risk for BR in the SPC outlook for the rest of the day.
