Ugh just got the tornado warning g or Cola metro.

The location is about 20 minutes north of me. Hopefully there aren't any spinups ahead of the line further south.

I am still awake at nearly 5 AM because:

1) The thunder is keeping me awake
2) We are still under a tornado watch until like 10 AM.
3) Tornados were all over the place just hours ago.
4) I am looking at radar and a huge line of storms are over in Memphis heading this way.
5) My power is out.

I've gotta be somewhere in a few hours and it really sucks.

The enhanced area has a 5% tor risk, 30% hatched sig severe wind risk, and the western edge of Mississippi near Vicksburg has a 30% hail risk.

I would imagine the only thing we can say you’re almost assuredly going to get is rain. Outside of that, if you’re in an enhanced area make sure you have a plan wherever you are just in case. Nobody, not even the best met (which I’m certainly not), can say with 100% certainty what you can expect but if you have a plan and keep at least a partial eye on things before they get to you, you can plan accordingly and be safe.

The fact there’s no henagar damage videos/pics yet given the reports coming out of there is concerning.

hope everyone who is either in the areas affected, or has family and friends there are all ok.

They’ve had some more strong storms come through there this morning, so I would imagine that has delayed things.

It is concerning. I know several people that live near that area that I’ve talked to this morning and they mostly have trees down but I haven’t talked to or even saw anything on Facebook from the hardest hit area.

People were posting pictures and videos of the area around Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro that got hit last night at midnight.

yea you’re right. Hopefully that’s it. I just feel like even with barnsdall and other storms lately there’s been damage images fairly quick after.
