Do you not understand why Hakeem wants to keep Johnson as Speaker? He can stand before the American people and say, "we have bipartisan support with the Republicans, just look, the majority Speaker is a Republican." He can't do that if he's the Speaker and everyone will know it's the Dems bill not a bipartisan bill.

Jeffries would be great as speaker-- he's old school Democratic who's far removed from the Ilhan Omar/Rashida Talib wing of the party. But why would any sane Republican want to can Johnson?
