Trump is right. Now isn’t the time to try and replace the speaker. We can do it after the election if we win.

Good for trump.

Johnson is doing a great job.

Greene needs to Stfu! She just sits there and takes pot shots and doesn’t actually do shite.

Impressed that Trump listened. :-)

At this point it doesn't matter who is in the seat. Hakeem done told us this. The GOP is going to lose the House because of what Johnson, McCarty and the rest have done. Voters are going to the polls for Trump not those cowards.

I believe it.

The establishment loves to put a plant in Trump’s midst, whether it’s Barr or whoever.

Looks like this time around it’s Mike Johnson.

I wish Trump weren’t so easily persuaded by these people. They obviously know just what to say to win his trust and make an impression. Maybe Trump is just playing it cool right now during election season, trying to stop infighting…but I doubt it. It seems he’s been sold a bill of goods again.

Trump is often wrong.

Are you going to tell me he's unique in that, politically speaking?

Good. MTG either needs to get on board, or get tf out, and go make her own party called the Retard Party.

Would be enormously stupid of Trump, if this is true. He would be aligning himself with Nancy Pelosi.

When you govern you have to leave the fringes behind

If you feel left out you might be standing with a Pedophile Gaetz
on the sidelines

Party unity from Trump.

1 month ago he was still trashing the best Republican governor in the country months after he dropped out of the race.

Party unity my arse

quote:

“I have it under very, very good sources that President Trump did engage. And I'm hoping that perhaps one would come to the conclusion: ‘You made your point,’” said Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.), citing a weekend discussion the former president had with Greene. “But don't be Kamikaze, because if you go for this, you're gonna get beaten down. And he made that point. I'm hoping that's the outcome.”

Trump’s backchanneling has extended to Johnson, as well. The speaker said that he also spoke with Trump on Monday — and that the former president had his back on Greene’s threats.

quote:

“He’s not in favor of it,” Johnson told reporters, adding that Trump did not call into his Monday meeting with Greene and Massie.

quote:

She’s also acknowledged that she’s spoken with Trump on the vacate effort, while declining to detail their conversations.

But even some of Johnson’s critics have acknowledged that Trump’s backing has added an extra layer of protection for the speaker and, at least for now, helped deflate Greene’s ouster threat.

LINK

If none of this is true. If former President Trump does not support keeping Mike Johnson as Speaker at this time. If he did not call Greene and tell her to stand down, then I’d suspect he would soon either hold a press conference or take to Twitter/Truth and let everyone know that Mike Johnson and these sources are liars.

Has he yet refuted and denied Lindsey Graham’s claim on Fox that he discussed with them and helped them on a path forward to passing the Ukraine funding bill?
