Went to the 10th, skipped the 20th and 30th. May go to the 40th (still have a couple of years), haven't decided yet though. About the only folks I would really want to see are the ones I already keep up with.

I do. There's always someone there I'm happy to see.

I enjoy going. I have many memories of that time with my classmates and I enjoy spending an evening every 10 years with them. Why not?

Our reunions have always been in bar settings. They rent out the bar for a couple of hours, we meet up and hang out, talk to whomever you want. No stupid activites, announcements, photo booths, etc. Just a group of people meeting at a bar.
This has always been my same experience.

"Lots of folks think they are irrelevant,"

I think social media has contributed to this. There's usually only a handful of people you'd hope to run into at the reunion. Social allows people to stay in touch with those people on a daily basis if they choose to.

Going to my 40th in a couple weeks. We have one every 10 years. My family moved away right after I graduated so I enjoy going back to see old friends. Went to a very small school so it is always a relaxed low key event

I went to my 10 and 20 coming up on 40 her in a couple more years not sure if I’ll go or not. At the 10yr the clicks were still there are the girls still thought they were all that. It’s calmed a little since then but it’s still there.

Had a great time at my 50th in 2021. Only 168 in our graduating class and 44 had died over the years. That was a little hard to accept.
Had a nice turnout. With spouses over 120 showed up.

Nope, stupid, living in the past.

disagree, I just don't get the attitude that's common throughout this thread, like "that's in the past, never want to se any of those people again, I keep in touch with those important to me, etc." it's just a reunion and an opportunity to see old friends, maybe renew old friendships, or just go on about your life until the next one, I went to a great public school, with a great bunch of people, some of which I've never lost contact with, I go to the reunions, have a blast, and maybe reconnect with old friends, but some here seem to view it as a sign of weakness or maybe equate it with going to a reunion of former fellow penitentiary inmates

We have a reunion every five years. The five year reunion was goofy just bc we were still so young. 20 year was fun. I missed the 15 and 25 bc I live out of state and don’t care that much. But it’s fun.

How many of you go to your high school reunions? My 40th reunion is this weekend. I live out of state and haven't kept up with anyone other than via Facebook posts. I'm sad I won't be able to attend because it's mother's day weekend.

My wife and I went to our 20th reunion this year. First time we'd been to one. I am naturally introverted and besides feeling like we 'should' go because it was the 20th, I had huge doubts that it would be enjoyable at all. We went to school outside of where we currently live, so we figured worst case, it would be a little getaway trip and we could just enjoy the time together.

Turns out, we got there Friday and left Sunday and pretty much spent the whole weekend catching up with classmates, stayed out until way after midnight both nights, and had a blast. Ended up connecting with people who we really didn't interact much with in high school and really enjoyed the weekend.

Just my $0.02.

The last one I went to, and maybe the last one we had, was the 10th. It was pretty much like any high school party, made a circle through the crowd, holed up with my buddies, and moved to a smaller party at another location.

I get together with those guys and a few college friends every year and have for the past 25 years.

I did take my dad to two of his reunions (very small class). Those were pretty interesting actually. It was neat hearing stories of them growing up.

My 10 year reunion was in 2021, while covid was still a thing. It was an absolute shite show. but it was fun. glad I went.

we took the dad of one of my close friends to our last one, he was dying of cancer and had been our baseball coach right before high school so he knew a bunch of us, he had a blast as did all of us "kids" that he had coached

Graduated way back in 1989. Not been to one. Strangely, they had a five year reunion, in 1994. Didn't figure people would have changed that much. Ten year reunion, was on active duty.

I probably wouldn't recognize most of my old classmates, and really don't know what I would have in common. I guess I could go to the 35 this year, may find a few people to enjoy time with, or could be very awkward. Or I could just not worry about it.

I've been to a few. Have had a good time at each catching up with people.

I'll admit it is a bit of an ego boost knowing I'm basically in the same shape (while very few others are) and the kudos I get from people that experience me and my hot wife's excellent dancing skills.

I've never been to any of mine and don't really care to. Last year would've been my 20th, but I switched schools midway through high school and graduated from a pretty big school. So a reunion would mostly just be awkward small talk with people I had one class with 20 years ago and haven't seen or spoken to since.

There's a handful of former classmates that I'd care to see at a reunion, but I still keep in touch and hangout with them regularly anyway. So no need to attend a class reunion for that.

Maybe the idea of a reunion would be more appealing to me if I'd have been in that district for longer than just my last 1.5 years of HS
