It's not about whether I think he did good or bad. I'm talking realities of a fight. You want to be Rocky you better withstand Apollo Creed's assaults or you are a marked man in the ring. As Tyson once put it, everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face.

Johnson has the overwhelming majority of Republicans on his side and with that he has temporary allies in the Democrats so his punches can stagger whomever comes at him once he decides to go on his offense. Can MTG or Massie end up surviving Johnson and probably Scalise's retribution come post election in particular. Because if Republicans lose purple seats in swing districts she'll be a target as will Massie . Republican leadership would have nothing to lose in that scenario. Do you really think an average Republican voter in Covington, LA gives a shite if a Rep from North Georgia gets her arse handed to her by leadership?

I think Johnson is untouchable now.

I also think Massie and MTG are very comfortable.

If the Republican leadership wants to engage in reprisals, I think that will further fracture the party. And I think that’s a good thing.

Who the frick cares? The Republican would rather "lose with honor" than win anyway.

Johnson is demoralizing Republicans. If they lose seats it'll be on his shoulders, no one else's.
