I also think that single sex education is a net plus.

There is a tremendous amount of data supporting this. Adolecents tend to perform better in single-sex educational environments.

It's actually the other way around. While girls do perform better in single-sex environments, their gains aren't as much as boys in single-sex environments. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that the American education system is generally geared towards how women think and behave and when boys are removed from that system and placed in a system that teaches them more like how males think and behave, they excel.

My kids went to Parkview. When we played U-high in any sport they seemed to have a very high minority population. Think it’s free school kids.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just an observation.

I've seen major universities not even close to St. Joe in the quality of the facility. That is an impeccably run school... and flush with $$ ... and 1st tier teachers. You need to tour the campus to appreciate it. I talked to the President the other day. Unbelievably bright and pleasant.

The students are poised, ambitious, focused, polite, confident.... St. Joseph's

My granddaughter goes to SJA. Great school. At U-High my sources say it’s been comprised by an influx of BLM types.

Some ugly scenes recently between very influential, long time supporters and the new administration and policies. I’d take a major pause and do a lot of due diligence before sending my kids/grandkids there.

If you think it only costs $5300 to go to U-High, you need to factor into the other costs to get your child admitted. SJA is way more expensive on paper, but there are hidden fees at UHS. not everyone gets in, even if the try real hard. $$$$$

I don’t want to alarm you, but I have heard a rumor that under Tate’s leadership the math department at LSU is teaching foreign concepts by using ARABIC numerals!!!!

Total bullshite.
I’ve graduated 2 from UHS and one more to go. I’ve never done anything more than tuition and giving a modest amount during annual appeals.
We applied. We got in.

Everyone knows this. They don’t even have school sponsored sports until around 7th grade. And lo and behold, that is when all of these gifted athletes start getting accepted to the school.

Same here. I don't give anything during the annual appeals. I only pay tuition.

Are you saying this is unique to UHS? CHS doesn’t get transfer athletes in 8th grade (meaning from outside the Catholic feeder schools)?

UHS teams are largely made up of kids who have been there since elementary school. This might shock you but many of those gifted athletes y’all are crying about are included in that.

So much of the stuff y’all are making up is easily refutable by looking at school data and social media accounts.

Edited for clarity
