Is Bungalow Beach Resort legit?
For a 3-star hotel, it’s a little on the pricey side. FWIW, any beach resort that’s in close proximity to Tampa will be overpriced and overcrowded all year long. That goes for all of the big metro cities in Florida. The panhandle is the only part of FL that doesn’t have this problem since it’s sparsely populated and isn’t a year-round tourist destination.

Yes- I have stayed here before. It is nice to have your own little bungalow right on the beach. AMI is great location close to TPA. The Don Cesar is really cool historical hotel on St. Pete Beach.. Further south, you have Lido Key, Siesta Key, Englewood beach.
