I just find the timing very odd, that suddenly a story appears in the media that sindick is using hostages as shields.
It would imply hostages are still alive and rile up Israelis who want the hostages back to protest the IDF moving on Rafah.
More than likely Israel intel has confirmed none are alive and there is nothing left to bargain with, and no reason to delay anymore.

this is probably close to true - but in any event, there is nothing to be gained by just prolonging the crisis at the whim of Hamas.
Any additional concessions to those animals merely prolongs the torture

Hamas was never going to give up all the hostages.
They were given a deadline and they continue to call for Israels surrender.
Naturally, talks have failed.
