Nurses > Teachers

I've dated both and married one. They can be equally miserable if things aren't going exactly how they think they should. I've never heard "that's not my job" more from anybody else other than a welder.

One of the nurses would work 3-12s and have 4 days per week off. Paid 40 hours. She'd stack them back to back to have 6 days on 8 days off. By day 2 she'd completely forget that she ever had a day off. Same with teachers. About a week in to the school year they forget they just had summer off.

I'm guessing they get so used to having all day to do things most of us do before/after work so when they actually go to work they think they don't have time for anything.

I'm always willing to crap on OTs hate and generalizations for various things. My wife the nurse stacks days like this. Her last week off she put out 40 bags of mulch, planted flowers and the garden, got the pool ready, cooked a pile of food, washed all the laundry, and still had time for a day on the lake w a girlfriend.

Everybody is different.
