——DE Payton Turner is a flat bust of a 1st rd draft pick.
——DE Foskey from ND “could be” an average back-up … at best. Waste of a 2nd round draft pick.
——Cameron Jordan has maybe a year left in the tank.
——No starting quality NFL NoseGuard on the roster at present. Maybe the 6th rd draft pick will provide decent depth ??

Be prepared for the next few years top Saints draft picks to be flooded with DL …. and we already know they will be sprinkled with OL picks due to issues on that side of the ball.

In a game where the FOUNDATION of a team starts in the trenches…. the Saints are unfortunately way behind !!

The Hendrickson, Davenport, and Turner disaster is why I am so glad Payton is gone.

Hendrickson and Granderson are two very good DE's. Bresee looks to be headed in the right direction. Should have been Jalen Carter next to him and OL could have been drafted with the three first rounders wasted on Turner and Davenport.

Team would feel a lot different if the trenches were solved.

Damn shame the Saints couldn’t draft the DT/NG Byron Murphy out of Texas with the 14th pick…. he would have been deadly paired with Breese.

BUT…. saints had to draft, ONCE AGAIN, another OL to cover for their recent poor drafting on the OL.

He’s not a nose guard, he’s a 3tech. We would’ve drafted Sweat if he hadn’t been taken before us in the 2nd

I think it is a little soon to say he will be an average back-up at best. He is entering his second year. Turner is a flat out bust and should be cut or traded this preseason, but it is WAY to early to label Foskey as a waste of a draft pick.

Easiest position in the league to fill. Late round picks and UDFA routinely fill this need. Just need a couple big strong guys that can take on double teams on early downs.

Way to early for this BS

I think Payton gets traded for a 7th round pick in preseason. At least Davenport showed something when he was healthy. Turner has been a healthy scratch multiple times.

If he's healthy why after 3 years lol
If he's playing well and healthy at mid season I offer him a little one year 2nd year option contract heavy on incentives and playing time of course.
If he doesn't take it I bench him rest of the year and try to dump him.

If Davenport wasn’t so awful, Turner likely isn’t drafted.

But then again, SP did draft 1st round centers 2 years in a row.

This draft seems better. They should keep this group of decision makers together. I think Sean's ego spoiled the brew.

I said last year there was a chance almost all the 23 pics would make the team and it happened. It's been two good years in a row. If you're a team captain in college look for the Saints to grab you. I doubt there is a nfl team that has drafted more of them in the last two years than the Saints.

I’m pretty sure Breece can play both, or can play it during passing downs. This team didn’t need Sweat with his weight issues. Woukd have been another bad 2nd round pick. By the end of the year Breececwas getting double teamed anyway.

Murphy and Breece in the inside woujd have caused problems for other teams.

At least they tried to right their wrongs from passing on Branch in the 2nd last year by taking his teammate.

McCoy was actually a 2nd rounder. He was just the first pick because we gave our 1st rounder to GB for Davenport.

What if I told you Bryan Bresee had a comparable season to Jalen Carter?
