Overall Thoughts on series: I watched a couple of games via YouTube highlights and for whatever reason they look a lot better at home which sucks because we will be playing them at home.

Alabama Home SEC Series
Tenn Vols 2-1
G1 (L) 3-11
G2 (W) 6-3
G3 (W) 7-6

SC Gamecocks 2-1
G1 (W) 4-3
G2 (W) 13-6
G3 (L) 8-9

Arkansas 2-1
G1 (L) 3-5
G2 (W) 4-3
G3 (W) 5-0

Texas AM 1-2
G1 (L) 5-10
G2 (L) 9-18
G3 (W) 10-9

A team who will string together a bunch of base hits with Gage Miller as their big slugger has 18 HR and TJ McCantis with 13 HR (Leads team in strikeouts by about double anyone elses with 52) Will not walk a lot but will not strikeout a ton as they have the lowest amount of strikeouts but lowest amount of walks. Will be a tough series and will have to have the clutch timely hits like we had this weekend.

Prediction 2-1 LSU. (We will have to play really good baseball to walk out of there with 2 wins because they have beat SC/ Ark/ Tenn in home series.)
On a positive note they had a really bad weekend this weekend vs Miss State as their pitching was all over the place and they went 1-2 losing badly in the first 2 and salvaging the last game.

Very insightful analysis! Thanks for doing it. If this past weekend tells me anything, is that this LSU team has enough talent to win 2 out of 3 against anyone IF they execute on key moments of a game. We’ll just need to see if these Tigers could continue to play loose and confident in a hostile environment.

Honestly for the hitting it shows how God awful we were those first 5 series when we were trying to figure out a lineup worth a shite. With that said tendencies like walks and strikeouts probably wouldn't have changed much. Curious how our batting % has improved since Vandy. I say that because our lineup is similar since the Tennessee series.

Excellent post. Interesting that they are disciplined at the plate resulting in fewer strikeouts, which is the strength of our pitchers. Strength vs strength. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

They had 22 players in the ER for food poisoning on Saturday, so that probably played a part as well. They tried to get State to change it to a double header on Sunday, State would not do it.

Definitely frustrating that as bad as the pitching has been at times, it's been good enough that LSU should have a few more wins.

Did you factor in possible "road game jitters"?
