Carter was incompetent and was just overtaken by events in many ways.
Biden is purposefully trying to ruin this country to stay in power because the only base he has is hard-core leftist who hate the country.

Maybe.
Carter had double digit home mortgage rates, inflation, and almost double digit unemployment. I don't know if Biden is there yet. But the immigration issue may push Biden over the top. And Biden has seven months to get worse.
