I think so. Probably need one in Hoover to feel secure. Just don’t know if they have the pitching to sweep an SEC series.

Literally just 2/3 from Bama and 2/3 from Ole Miss and we are a lock so yes. Winning 5 straight SEC series and a good enough RPI.

If they don’t have the pitching to sweep an SEC series they don’t have the pitching to win a regional. So what’s the point?

If they had swept Auburn and Missouri, which they should have done, they would be in good shape regardless of the outcome today.

We’ll be sweating the dinky little conference tournaments hoping against bid stealers, but it SHOULD be enough with the upward trend including a series win over #1.

One thing, I hope Aggie bounces back. They get swept by the Pigs and this weekend loses some shine.

I would think so. Winning the last 5 series is pretty dang good no matter the competition

Ole Miss got in 3 years ago at 13-17

Our RPI is around 32 right now which is good enough for an at Large.

Google 2011 LSU baseball. Missed post season with 13-17 record. 14 wins is the threshold. 13 is not automatic.

We have enough pitching to compete in 2 games and will have to win at the plate with hitting in the rest of the games.

If lsu makes a regional. They will have to win first 2 games and win in final to have a chance. Lose g1 and it's over, lose g2(winners bracket) it's over.

This team would have lost to Oregon State in the regional last yr.

SEC teams with 13 wins have a 38% chance of making it according to the stats showed on espn

Get to 13 first before worrying if it’s enough.

There’s other factors to consider if 13-17 gets us in but Vanderbilt and Florida both have tougher series remaining than us. Were 1 game back of UF in 9th place and 2 games back of Vandy in 8th place. If we can go 4-2 getting us to 13-17 and Vandy and UF have losing records then we’re absolutely in. There will be at least 9 SEC teams in a regional.

Vandy
v. UT
@UK

Florida
v. UK
@UGA

UK just won a series angainst Arkansas and are alone in first place. LSU just has to handle their business and win these last 2 series and they should be ok with 5 straight series wins and a top 30 RPI.
