I'm old enough to remember when The Fall Guy was on TV.

Which makes me old enough to say "Who the frick thought it was a good idea to make a movie based on it?"

It wasn't that big of a deal when it was on TV. Pretty forgettable.

I loved watching Fall Guy as a kid.

I took my wife to see this movie last night. I had not seen any trailers. I went in with only this feeling of nostalgia.

I thought this movie had a good script. It was funny. Ryan Gosling is a good actor. Emily Blunt had a hilarious Karaoke scene where she sang “against all odds” by Phil Collins.

The ending had a cameo with Lee Majors.

This movie has a flair to it and reminded me of Tropic Thunder.

Let's be honest, if it wasn't for Heather Thomas no one would remember this show. I bet 75% of the people who name drop The Fall Guy in nostalgia conversations couldn't tell you what Lee Majors' character name was.

This is me to, I used to watch it occasionally and it was alright but nothing to merit a reboot to a movie 40 years later. I'm surprised they did this really

Same here.

Hollywood has been doing movie re-treads of old tv shows for over a decade now, it's the ultimate form of saying "we have so few new ideas and aren't really concerned about developing them".

That said, the movie was related to the show only by the name of the movie, the main character's name and his profession. Everything else was either an easter egg (the truck, the theme song at the end, etc) or typical rom-com fare.
