My clubs were stolen right before I was to play Bethpage Black. We were having lunch on the patio, my clubs were mixed in with all the other clubs and for some reason the thief grabbed mine. Bethpage said they had no cameras (which I find to be difficult), they could truly care less and then they made me pay for a rental set to play their golf course. Not even a free sleeve of golf balls, I was not happy at all. I was with my customer so I had to keep my cool, but inside I was fuming.

My golf clubs were stolen out of my truck about 10 years ago. I mean what kind of POS steals golf clubs? Anyway if this was at a restaurant and not the course where those usually become someone new set, you might get lucky and check with area pawn shops. Those are where most club thefts wind up for quick money.

Do you have it through your home insurance?

Yes, same company but the specific policy is added in. I use this special policy for my clubs and wife's jewelry .

About 3 years ago my clubs were stolen out of my truck at work. They were in the bed and someone destroyed the bed cover to get to them.

I lived in an apartment at the time, but my State Farm renters insurance covered it since it was items I keep at home and temporarily had them in my truck. I can't remember what exactly the insurance policy called my items, but they did cover a percentage for what I was covered under in my policy. I just had to give them a list of everything that was in my bag and how much I valued each item at with pictures/receipts if I had them. Surprisingly they didn't push back on my prices, it just took a couple of months and cost me the entire summer of playing golf. I think it took about a month to get a check, but I had to wait forever for my clubs to come in from Taylor Made since I got fitted at a Golftec. Overall it worked out pretty well all things considered.

I like to go to that El Tiempo and the Fuddruckers (when it was open), but the overall area looks to be declining. I also like going to Pluckers but Im getting lazy and don't care to drive to Stafford from Sugar Land lol.

Nothing against El Tiempo. I have been friends with the owners for 40 years. They are awesome people.

Crime happens, I'm sure my clubs were the first thing they grabbed and took off.
