If Walmart allowed someone to set a folding table by the entrance/exit and give people miniature candy bars for answering a question, what percentage of people could actually rattle off all of the states that border West Virginia? Maybe 2 or 3 percent at the most?

Delaware. I'm not even sure it's real.

The most forgettable state? Vermont or New Hampshire would be my guess. There is something attractive about those areas. Not as likely to get shot pumping gas as in Louisiana.

Indiana and the area outside of Chicago in Illinois is highly forgettable, just pure nothing.

It would really depend on where you currently live in the country since each region would have their top choice for "forgettable state." People saying North and South Dakota most likely have never been there and don't know about the hunting and fishing opportunities in those states.

New Mexico. It's the desert you drive through to get to Arizona or Texas.

I thought about the forgettable president question this morning too.

The best way to actually find the answer to both questions would be to have people list all the Presidents/States and see which ones were left out most often.
