All of yall saying Mississippi are insecure or something. Anyone who’s spent actual time there knows it’s an underrated gem. Super low COL and people are so nice.

Depending on what region you are in it’s not the ugliest state either. Some hills. Forests. The coastal area is its own world. People say Mississippi and they automatically picture Jackson city proper as if that represents the entire state.

Your president is from Delaware…

I’ll go with North Dakota for this thread

The most forgettable state? Vermont or New Hampshire

If I could retire to Vermont, I would. Been there twice. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Arkansas could be it if it weren't for Walmart.

Iowas is very forgettable despite being a pretty nice place.

To me, all of the East Coast states have too much history and the West Coast and mountain states have too much natural beauty and notable national parks.

the area outside of Chicago in Illinois is highly forgettable, just pure nothing.

Flat as a table, corn from one horizon to the other with hundreds of giant windmills sprinkled in. Every so often there will be a little town here and there.

...or Silver City and White Sands. I even enjoyed working a while in Alamogordo and TorC. I met people of all kinds in those places, quirky old artists, burnt out rodeo champs and a few off beat musicians.

Albuquerque pretty much sucked.

I've been to every state but Delaware and the Dakotas. I'd actually like to visit the Dakotas, but I'd probably only go to Delaware to check it off the list.

Delaware is an odd state. I see ti as three things. Wilmington and the surrounding area which is all about corporate filings and the U of DE and otherwise a mix of Southern NJ and Eastern PA, but it is also a big chemical production area. DuPont, Hercules, and AstraZeneca all have major admin and research centers there along with production.

Then you have the beach towns which are mostly really nice.

However, the vast majority of the state outside the far north and the shore is mainly farm land. They grow a lot of corn. South of Wilmington and west of the shore and you have baw country.

You have made it very clear that you do not know what the hell you’re talking about. Leave the thread for good.

Not for people who've been to Harper's Ferry. What's right across the Potomac? Maryland Heights.

Either North Dakota or Kansas.

South Dakota and Nebraska are close, but South Dakota has Mount Rushmore and Nebraska has the College World Series.

Rhode Island. Shouldn't be a state.

Yet that little old state was the first one to tell King George III to take colonization and shove it up his arse in 1776.

Deleware for sure.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone born there or who lives there and I’ve known people from every other state.

State of inebriation? I’m there now and right now I’m remembering it. Come on in, the weather is fine.
