I read this book and it was fascinating. Did a bunch of fact checking as well and it all checked out.

The one major thing I disagreed with in this book was the idea that America was God’s new chosen people.

He tries to tie back to that silly theory too much. In reality we are people who knew God and then turned away from him, opening our door to malicious actors and we are now going to pay the price for that.

Get behind me Satan! Don’t you know we were founded on the Christian religion and derive all our morality and laws from the Bible?! See for yourself how the Bill of Rights is derived directly from the Ten Utterances.

I love historical rabbit holes, so I checked this one out.

While knowing and understanding the Barbary Wars, I was not knowledgeable of the content of the Treaty.

It appears that Article II might not be what you contend it is.

From wiki, just the first stop down the rabbit hole - In 1931 Hunter Miller completed a commission by the United States government to analyze United States' treaties and to explain how they function and what they mean to the United States' legal position in relationship with the rest of the world.[21] According to Hunter Miller's notes, "the Barlow translation is at best a poor attempt at a paraphrase or summary of the sense of the Arabic" and "Article 11 ... does not exist at all."[13]

After comparing the United States' version by Barlow with the Arabic and the Italian version, Miller continues by claiming that:

The Arabic text which is between Articles 10 and 12 is in form a letter, crude and flamboyant and withal quite unimportant, from the Dey of Algiers to the Pasha of Tripoli. How that script came to be written and to be regarded, as in the Barlow translation, as Article 11 of the treaty as there written, is a mystery and seemingly must remain so. Nothing in the diplomatic correspondence of the time throws any light whatever on the point."

Hmmm.........

All of that was stupid. Using covid as the second thing to strike America, when it actually struck the whole world, was a stretch. I’m not going to enumerate all the stupid stuff, but good heavens, what a charlatain

Keep on. Don't call me.

You actually think the universe started from the beginning from no help?

Something created it. God, maybe?

It seems that nobody wants to play with you. I can’t say I blame them- you’re a one way street headed in the wrong direction.

Jews are "near believers", they say they believe in Jesus Christ, but not in his resurrection

In the Talmud, Jesus is described as the son of Miriam the whore. Jesus the Nazarene was a magician, a deceiver, and a sorcerer and led some Jews towards idolatry, and he was hanged the day before the Passover. For seeking to harm Israel, Jesus’ punishment in the afterlife is boiling in excrement.

They say the "messiah" is yet to come to save them.

Well if Cyrus of Persia was their last Messiah (Isaiah 45:1), in that spirit, Harry S Truman should be their messiah. He restored Jewish sovereignty in the land of Judah and Israel.

Most want to pretend and to live in a false reality. You’re in that boat too. It’s ok. There still might be someone I can help.

It’s all in your mind, I promise.

I was a “rationalist” as much as anybody before the world started falling apart in ways I just can’t explain.

Here’s a spirituo-scientific theory I’ve had: man is designed for hunter gatherer small tribes, and that was the state where we were as God intended. It was when we invented grain agriculture that we built these larger, centralized societies that continuously, in a cycle that cannot be stopped, come together and catastrophically collapse. There isn’t enough moral courage in the hearts of men to wield the power that comes with great centralized wealth or power. Like Tolkien illustrated in his Rings books. I also think a human brain flooded with glucose 24/7/365 tends to be hyperactive, anxious, and depressed. So I think grain agriculture is what expelled us from paradise, and I suspect the ancient stories were some attempt to figure out what went wrong and where all the misery came from. And I suspect all the stories about good and evil spirits are an attempt to explain the reasons we discover, time after time, that if you give men all they need to carry out the designs in their hearts, you won’t like the result. I’ve seen the Devil, and he is me. Decentralization and downscaling (and less sh_t food grown at scale with no regard for human physiology) are all that will save us. This big project of ours will never work.

Mo Jeaux, don't worry about all this BS, its above your intellect anyhow. You're gonna need the Hubble Space Telescope to see the Gates of Heaven.
But even for you, you have a chance, all you need is Faith, lots of Faith.

I don't care when you joined (but "lurking" for that long is odd). I'm responding to the retarded poster who kept claiming that a post wasn't his even though I had quoted what he posted. Then he responds with some stupid comment about heaven. That deserved my pudding response.

Finally, go frick yourself.

I have no doubt you could convince yourself the moon was made of cheese.

That’s what faith is about. Ignoring scientific facts, ignoring archaeological evidence, taking the Bible out of context, and cherry-picking verses that conform to your preconceived suppositions in order to fool yourself into a deluded false reality. Hey, if that makes you happy, and if it hurts no one else, then that’s great and is a positive thing! Glad I could help! They do say “ignorance is bliss.”

Covid was an issue only because politicians made it one. Comparing Covid to 9/11 is something the purple hairs do. 9/11 was a national tragedy, Covid was a national conspiracy by the heads of our government. Also, prayer in school, at least on a nation wide scale, was only started after the Cold War began due to the fact that commies were/are staunchly atheist and it was a way of testing peoples loyalty if they decided not to pray, much like the pledge of allegiance. No where in the constitution does it say prayer is mandated and it specifically states freedom of religion. I’m as Christian as they come but if someone wants to spend eternity in the lake of fire, even after hearing the word of God, that is on him.

Then why post that you won’t read it? No one gives a shite if you read it, much less telling everyone that you won’t read it.
