More reason to use standard deductions and ensure you have documentation on things being deducted past that like child care or student loan interest.
What a moronic take. If you have documentation and support for any positions you take on your return you are fine.
You should only be scared of any audit if you are doing shady shite and not following the law.
The IRS is not evil and there are actually some smart folks that work for the Service. They have plenty of issues that need to be fixed as well.
The IRS has "no change" audits all the time. They will not frick with you endlessly to find something that is not there.

Just because they didn’t in the past doesn’t mean that they won’t going forward.

If you have documentation, so be it.
Just be aware that audits are typically generated through data mining to look for certain trends and that having any of your deductions or credits being out of what they consider normal range will immediately flag you.
If they feel that donation credits are being abused, they will throw checks out there looking by gross amount of the credit and percentage of the credit compared to other amounts on your return.
