Philly would be willing to extend him if they thought a core of him, Maxey, and Embiid would win.

Past that, I’m wondering who would do so. Theoretically, Utah, Detroit, or OKC could but Detroit has too many people who play BI’s positions while OKC is successful and probably doesn’t want a guy they played off the floor in the first round.

Or they let him play it out without long term commitment. If he does great- give him the extension and if not you get money to chase another free agent. I feel like most smart teams might do this.
