If he doesn’t extend BI, trades him and puts Trey in the starting lineup. In my opinion- Griffin deserves credit to making this team better. We can’t hate on a guy if he does what we want him to do.

I hope this isn't the plan. We would take a large step back if that was the case. I'm the biggest Ingram hater on the board. But he is better than Murphy. So that would be a loss. A bigger problem though is we would lose Murphy's production off the bench. So a slightly weaker starting 5 and a much worse bench. The only way that doesn't happen is if we somehow land KAT or another premier big to replace Val.
I am not a proponent of giving Murphy a huge deal and I have no idea where he would start. But we can't let the asset go, so he'll get a big extension. Then we could flip him later down the road. He'll be backing up 2-4 next year though, hopefully vying for 6th man of the year.
We should focus everything else on upgrading PG and C this offseason. Flipping Ingram should give us a good start..
