Do we need to win the SEC tourney to get in the NCAA tourney?

No but we need to beat AM and sweep at least one more series. Win the other obviously

They showed the graphic last night. 13+ wins gives you an opportunity to get in. 14+ makes it nearly a lock.

If we win 6 of the last 8 we are in. If we win 5 of the last 8 we might get in. If we win 4 of the last 8 we would have to win the SEC tournament.

Typically 14-16 in sec play gets your u in the tournament. So 6-2 finish should get us in

Plus you need to cheer for conference favorites to win their conference tourneys to avoid bid stealers

Yeah, 14 SEC wins would lock it in. We could still get in with 13, but we'd be on the bubble.

I can see LSU getting in at 13-17 if they beat A&M again and take 2/3 from Alabama and Ole Miss. That would be 5 straight SEC series wins.
Of course 14-16 ices it. Would be nice to take one more from A&M, 2/3 from Alabama, and sweep Ole Miss.

It’s too early to ask that question. We have 8 more conference games.

If, if we take the A&M series and win the Bama or OM series with 2 tourney wins, nobody thinks the committee will slide the heating up defending champs in?

Depending on how it happens, if we win the series against A&M, and win 4 of the 6 against OM and Bama, we will have a really high RPI and will have likely won 5 straight series. We would be in. If we lose the series to A&M, then we would need to get to 14 (imo), which would take two sweeps. Today is crucial, as I don't like our chances tomorrow.

If we don’t go 7-1 to finish 15-15, we’d better be assuming we have to win at least two in Hoover.
