Scientist are guessing again and "assume" they have a clue on what this animal sounded like. In reality, they have no idea, none, zero, nada.

Guessing, yeah. But I'm assuming they're taking the size and shape of the chest cavity, neck and head, the density of bones and any other relevant information. Based off of that they can probably make a pretty good guess at the pitch. The rest is probably just a guess based off of existing animals.

this is a great example of the 2 types of people you run into daily.
the first guy thinks that not knowing EXACTLY what a t-rex sounded like means his guess based on nothing is as good as the scientists that have studied all of the info listed in the second quote.
