I hope you're right but I wouldn't bet on it. I just don't have that much faith in our society. Which is saddening if I dwell on it.

What the hell is the relevance of gran them by the pussy to this case?
That wasn’t fixed by Cohen was it? If so how did we find out?
FFS
If the defense didn’t object on relevance…
If they did and the judge allowed it…

Can you clarify your intended point?

They’re just slinging shite and getting it in the minds of the people I described earlier. They’re going to continue it too.

Here’s the distinction between those voters in 2020 versus the same people in 2024: they’ve had 4 years of unmissable example after example after example of these same tactics and lies…..from the left in general, from Biden specifically, and open and obvious evidence of the dark underbelly of the judicial system. The segment that we should even be concerned with, independents and “moderates,” my mental picture of the average member of that particular segment is a person who is plenty capable of perceiving the same things we do, especially now with the four years of evidence right in their faces.

I've been following the trial updates throughout trial days at NBC News and maybe it's confirmation bias but the reporters post every couple of minutes during direct. As soon as Trump's team starts to cross they clam up and only post sporadic updates. It's very interesting.

I think the argument for relevance, such as it is, is that it shows the Trump campaign was extremely concerned about any other negative stories about women and affairs so they paid "hush money" and then falsified business records about it.
In reality though it was simply to put the Access Hollywood statements into the jury's mind.

Trump won the Presidential election only a couple of weeks (or so) after the Access Hollywood recording was released, and it was a huge deal all the way up to that election.
That would lead to the reasonable and logical belief that something like this, something inarguably less sensational at that, would not necessarily be something to be worried about.

My point was..,
How the frick is that relevant to this trial?
How the frick is that relevant to this trial?

Maybe it’s not, but just as you referenced, was there an objection? Why the hell was that if not? To which I believe I offered a pretty good theory pointed at that in my very last post. You would wrap that argument into it in your closing argument.

It doesn’t matter if they have no evidence and If everyone on the outside can see it a a sham. The only thing that matters is what the jury decides. And that’s why I have zero confidence in the finding.

If I’m Trump, I wouldn’t put on a defense. They’re getting what they need through cross exam. Just rest your case and do closing arguments. Assuming the judge doesn’t toss it at the close of the prosecution’s case.

No matter what side of the aisle, no President/former President in history has been subjected to this much scrutiny. Almost 10 years now.

Trump has always had a huge reputation as a massive pussy hound. It’s never been a secret. Why would this bimbo Stormy D be any different? It’s hard to argue Trump paid her off because he feared people finding out he fricked her would hurt his campaign, when everybody and their brother knew his rep. Trump cheated on his wife? Why I’m absolutely shocked Come on be real.

My thought is the same.
Except maybe have a legal expert testify that this is a federal case and not a state case and explain that the statute of limitations is expired. Also, maybe depending on the Cohen testimony, bring up attorney client privilege and how Cohen has violated it, but you could also attack him on those merits while he is on the stand.

Oh ok. So it it’s such a commonly known thing (“everybody and their brother”) then what’s your argument as to who Trump was trying to hide it from? Surely not voters. Because everybody and their brother already knew. You probably need to develop your argument on this a bit further.
