We send billions to all those countries, why single out Israel?

I support Israel in the current conflict because Oct7. Hamas fricked around and Israel is within its right to help them find out.

I've always been fascinated by the boomer "evangelical" generation here in the US who bow to anything Israel says or does.

Judaism scorns Jesus and most of their faith is based on the Talmud, which was written nearly 300 years after Jesus's death. They are the written version of the oral traditions Jesus spoke out against so frequently. Even Islam with the Quran speaks more highly of Jesus than Judaism does, which they at least have the decency to call him a prophet.

Most of the boomers have bought into the theory that the Jews are still 'God's chosen people'. This is just ludicrous. I would refer anyone who still believes this to read St. Ignatius of Antioch, the disciple of John the Apostle, pre-100 AD.

Especially when you look at what they’ve accomplished since. They’ve engaged in a full invasion and takeover of Gaza and they’re getting billions in additional welfare from the US, and insulated Netanyahu from any internal criticism.

ETA: and as you can see from this thread, that attack and the propaganda following immediately galvanized support for Israel to be as brutal as it wants.

I’m a of the belief that we stick to our word and the bond we choose in securing and recognizing Israel’s right to exist.. to many times throughout the last 70 years has the country been painted into a corner with few allies.. we choose this role for a myriad of reasons and should continue in that capacity.,

That doesn’t preclude us from criticizing them, doesn’t mean we should give a blank check but we are aligned in general. And now is one of those times. While the left supports actual to the bone terrorist in Hamas, as they are indistinguishable at the moment from Palestinians who vote for this with the backing of Hezbollah and Iran
