Funny because I actually posted MANY many posts at the time how the Lakers trade was a good value trade. We also got Dragic and a first out of that deal. The point isn’t if we would have or not, it’s that the value is there that you can. We could have ended up with Dragic and James Harden with any sort of vision. Too many can’t see beyond the first step. Just take a look at this thread. Most of the board sees Philly interested, and they go back and forth on a trade exception, instead of focusing on what that could open up with other trades and teams maybe looking to take on less money in a bigger structure.

Anyway, there isn’t only one way a BI trade could benefit us in the long run. Open up your mind to the possibilities.

And that's why I hope Griffin does the exact opposite of what you think he should. That trade was a fricking abomination for us and Dell Demps should have been fired the minute he suggested it to Stern.

One of these days we'll see that 14-team trade you've been envisioning.

The point of the back and forth is that, without some certainty of what we can get as part of a multi-team trade or using that TPE, it arguably puts us in a position where we have done a massive cap dump that puts us in a worse position on the court.

Griff et all need to know what we need to be getting (point, microwave, starting center, backup 4-5) and figure out what the best options are given the space opened up by moving BI and any picks received.

Cause there needs to be follow-through and we have seen cases where Griff had certain plans in mind then ended up throwing shite at a wall when options 1 and 2 didn’t materialize. That is how you trade a first for Devonte Graham.
