If you have cancer, then I understand the gallows humor. If you do not, you really shouldn't be joking about it as it is no laughing matter to those who do.

Reminds me of a joke.

Old guy goes to the doctor, gets an examination.

Doctor comes back in and goes "I've got some bad news...you've got cancer." After a short pause he says "you've also got Alzheimer's"

Old man goes, "well, at least it's not cancer!"
