I read something a few weeks after the attack that Hamas was trying to keep it somewhat regimented just to take hostages, but a number of regular citizens broke through and are the ones who went apeshite.

There is a whole rabbit hole of the IDF gunning down people, but no one here will listen.

"They" won't like that you mention this, it destroys their narrative.

So, are we are ok with Hamas if the "plan" was just to take civilian hostages after invading said neighbor?

Dude, you need some mental help. I can't believe the shite you people will come up with to validate your opinion. It used to be funny, but now it's just sad.

A couple of things here:

1) rationalizing that grabbing some hostages as opposed to a killing spree, constitutes a legitimate action is nonsense.

2) if Hamas opened the gates, it effectively gave the green light to the regular citizens. That's still on Hamas.

Reports of confusion and the IDF shooting its own citizens were not hard to find in the days following the attack. And in the chaos of the moment, that is not difficult to believe. But the notion that Hamas "killed no one" and the deaths are a function of the IDF mowing down all of these citizens is silly on its face.

Don't be a Hamas apologist. They were on just about everyone's list of terrorist organizations until they won elections in Palestine. ..and for good reason.

Their are killing terrorists .....but you won't listen.

If I put 20 kids around a rocket launcher in the middle of a school yard.....and launch a rocket.

What do you get?

20 Kids that need to be dead .......TERRORISTS.

Nice try ...
