I don't know how the PGA rules work, but does this imply that his "Special Exemption" that allows him to play bounces someone who has earned the right to play by actually playing and finishing rounds????

If so, that's a pretty shitty thing to do, and if he has any integrity, he should decline.

People are paying to watch TW though, and not exactly doing so for the guy who barely gets in, the guy who should be thanking Tiger for everything he’s done for the game

Jack Nicklaus received a special exemption to the US Open 8 times, his last when he was 59 years old. Pretty much the biggest names in the history of the sport have all received and accepted special exemptions. They hand them out all the time. Phil got one in 2021. Ernie Els did in 2018 and 2019. So, did none of these guys below have any integrity?

Here's a list.

You know, he just might have earned it by being the GOAT.

It’s not like he’s some random guy that bought the exemption or inherited it based on his dads accomplishments

The guy earned any special exemptions the pga cares to bestow

I understand your view. As a former professional baseball player, that's how I felt when Michael Jordan or Tim Tebow decided they wanted to try their hand at professional baseball. But those were more publicity stunts than anything else and they were done at the expense of other players for a full season - 4 seasons in the case of Tebow.

Do you think the guy that gets bounced will somebody that previously won the US Open 3 times? Do you realize how every player on the tour has benefitted from the massive increase in prize money over the past quarter century due to increased popularity of the sport? Do you know which individual is the unquestioned reason for that increase in popularity?
