I know. I'm just busting your balls. Cush cush is essentially corn bread, but cooked on the stove rather than baked in the oven. So I think it is fair to say that cush cush is "cornbread and milk."

I always enjoyed warming the cornbread up some before I would add the milk.

Good post. Brings back memories of my now dearly departed maw maw cooking cush cush when I was a kid.
Cush cush is cornmeal that's browned with oil in skillet. And you've got to stir it frequently so as not to burn it, similar to making your own roux.
Like the pic in the OP, it is usually served in milk. Some add sugar, some don't, and some add other things.
