Who else here does this?
Having some cornbread left from last night's dinner with some cold milk.
Sprinkled a lil sugar on too.
When I was a kid we would sometimes add some grape or apple jelly for the sweetness. Good stuff!

I haven't had this in years, but my granny sure ate the heck out of it when there was leftover cornbread.

Many a dinners were jiffy and milk growing it.
Still love it to this day, though I have preferred a sweeter cornbread over the traditional savory southern style.

Just seeing those pics brought back memories from way back. About the only thing better would be fresh cream skimmed off the top of "real milk" and drizzled over a bowl of dew berry cobler.

Sugar doesn't belong in cornbread and eating leftover cornbread requires buttermilk, green onions, salt, and pepper.

My mother loves cornbread and milk. She grew up on a farm and it was a staple. I'm not a fan, but I do like it in some hot soups.

Everyone should eat their food how they like it, but in Georgia, the term "sugar in your cornbread" means something very different.

I love eating cornbread in milk I also add a bunch of honey. Thats the same way I like to eat cake is in a bowl of milk.

My Texas maternal grandfather ate his with buttermilk, and my Louisiana paternal grandfather ate his with sweet milk in a glass, for his nightly supper.
