As we are in the dog days of the collegiate athletic calendar (especially since baseball is not great this year) what are your favorite memories on the recruiting board?

I have only been on TD a couple years, and the ones that come to mind for me were:

1. Harold Perkins decision day: Was such a huge recruiting battle for BK out the gate. I remember we felt like we had him after his whole family came for the visit but A&M was dropping Saudi type bags. Thank God we got him.

2. Dez Ricks: Don't have much to say but my lord, did this kid get TD popping. Will never forget when he picked Bama and then proceeded to name drop us on accident in the interview. Also, we had predictions from On3 which made the melt worse. Looks like we dodged a bullet in the end.

What are some of the other most memorable moments from this board?

I want to hear from you old baws.

Jordan Burch saga is underrated. Always kept coming out that he hadn’t actually signed with SC yet and kept giving everyone hope

Not necessarily THE best moment but I called the Patrick Surtain not coming to LSU months in advance.

My logic was that if he was SUCH an LSU lock then why wouldn't he commit?

That was the one I got right. Please ignore the million other things that I have been dead wrong about lol.

Overall board fun: Leonard Fournette picking the good guys was a solid day.

The recruitment of Burrow was also fun.

BUT

THE GREATEST SAGA EVER: Quad Brown's recruitment or lack there of. His coach went scorched earth on here when his precious baby boy didn't get an LSU offer.

Gunner Kiel thread was interesting. Looking back, sorta ironic that CBK took him from us. lol

The Joe McKnight meltdown was pretty epic and hilarious in February 2007.

McKnight is a Recruiting Board legend. R.I.P.

The Josh Booty Saga.

And the infamous Zach Lee. Everyone was anticipating his debut and he left us at the altar at the last minute for baseball.

The posters who care about recruiting like I do.

Cajuns gif he made for me on this board.

Having you make my own bat signal for me personally is pretty awesome after starting here at 22 and now being 35.

This place is awesome and I look forward to the youngsters coming up to continue this place

From 2010 recruiting class:

"Les Miles sure knows how to close.

After Lane Kiffin was the one piling up signing day flips last year, it was Miles in Baton Rouge doing it this year. He snared 4* WR Kadron Boone, a guy who decommitted from Texas Tech after the Mike Leach fiasco started, and got two other guys to do NSD decommits: 4* DE J.C. Copeland (Tennessee) and 4* WR Jarrett Fobbs (Texas A&M). Those nabs helped shore up yet another top 10 class for LSU, which hasn't been ranked below 11th in recruiting by anyone since 2005."

Additionally, Ego Ferguson committed on that same National Signing day, after this article was written.

Definitely not the “best” memories but

The losses definitely bring the moat drama
