I had someone tell me 2 to 3 is harder because "you go from playing man to playing zone"

But his oldest is just a toddler and is a hand full. But we fished last weekend and he vented after a few beers, and he very clearly is struggling.

It can be very hard. We’ve had a lot of medical issues. Hospital stays, appointments, rare diseases. Sometimes it does get hard.

I just have the one for now, but I am using the same preventative measures you have been using so I may not be far behind

I have always heard 2 isn't twice as hard as 1. maybe like 1.25 -1.5 times. Each additional kid adds difficulty, but the difficulty add gets smaller each time. I guess the biggest thing with like 10 kids would be transportation

3rd on is when things change dramtically.

You'll need a larger vehicle and another bedroom on the house.
Going to theme parks, etc. is a pain because most rides are 4 person cars.
When they get older, you'll need two hotel rooms or an AirBnB to sleep 5.

Your feet are probably pretty close together as you jump from the one child. You’ll need to spread your feet some while you’re in the air to successfully land on the two children.

5 kids is tough. Imagine vacation. Putting shite on the trailer hitch basket even in a suburban.

This is good.

We have a two month old and the other isn't quite 21 months yet.
It's been a little rough

2 bedroom suites FTW, although they are harder to come by.

How hard is the jump from one child to two?
GeauxTigahs92
Wife and I found out this weekend that we are expecting baby number 2. We were not trying but also were not preventing so it did come as a little bit of a surprise. First couple days I was stressing out big time over finances and all the normal stuff but I have come to accept that we will make it happen and God will help us figure it all out. We lost our first child a few days before his due date so pregnancies are not easy on my wife for many reasons. Biggest worries now are the no sleep and other things that come with a newborn. How much harder is one child compared to two or does it feel easier the second time around. Our little girl will be 4 by the time this baby is born so she should be able to help out and occupy herself some while we are taking care of the newborn. Any advice and comments are welcome! TIA

congrats on the sex.

Parenthood and finances work themselves out naturally. It’s pretty cool.

It’s hard to cut spending or make more money when it suits only yourself or even a spouse… but when it’s for your family.. you don’t even have to think about it. It’s involuntary and God just hooks you up so you can provide.

I think as for as the children go, it is better for them. They have someone to relate to and that's important. I think only children are lonely.

Not very difiicult. 2 to 3 is worse.

Anyone know how 3 to 4 kids is, or is the oldest one basically taking care of themselves?

Don't remember the jump from one to two, but I can tell you this:

Wonder what it feels like to have a 4th child? Imagine you are drowning and someone hands you a 4th child.

It'll be easier. Your 4 year old will want to play with her new sibling and do stuff to help out. Once the new baby is mobile, the kids will entertain each other
