There’s sin, and then there’s living in sin, and then there’s encouraging sin.
What changes the UMC made amounts to encouraging and condoning sin by denying it is sin. The changes aren’t saying “we know this is sin but it’s okay, come to church we accept all”. The changes are saying “being gay isn’t a sin, all human sexuality is to be celebrated”
