So much wrong with this statement. No fear that dumbass American voters can spot it though.

He's also going for the abolishment of Lead Bullets, which would raise the cost of ammo by 300 per cent or more. This dude, and the Soros's of the world are after of our freedoms.

While the DOE considers models with heat pumps to be an important part of decarbonizing America’s building stock, those particular models tend to cost about $1,000 more up front than some alternatives and do not work as well in cold climates, according to Forbes.

They also don't work at all without sufficient free air space. On average you need about 700 cu-ft of air volume with a minimum level of ACH for these heaters to work at anything close to their rated efficiency. Most people that have purchased these as "upgrades" have found they have to run the unit in hybrid mode with the internal electric heating elements or full on utilizing the electric elements to provide enough hot water which made the premium paid for the heat pump a 100% waste of money. Also, if you put these in a basement or in another room in an air conditioned part of the house, they will take the heat out of the room in the winter to heat the water. Also have to plumb in a condensate line which also adds cost and complexity to installation and in the southern summers it is a considerable amount of water so you will not be routing this into the drain pan as an easy "fix". I had a client offer to give me his newly installed 50 gallon unit in exchange for labor of replacing it with a standard Bradford White. I managed to sell the heat pump unit for $400 because I wasn't going to put that junk in my house. Poor guy basically spent $2,400+ for a hard lesson in thermodynamics.

Gotta keep it hot baw.

Ergo - Water Heater.

When I go to the hardware stores they are called Water Heaters.

From Lowe's Site - Lowe's Water Heater Finder
Need help choosing the right water heater?

Regardless, we can all agree this is BS.
We must vote out these busybody tyrants who want to dictate to us how to live but will not submit to those same laws.

What is the decarbonizing doing for muh air I breath.

What does CO2 do to your body?
CO2 plays various roles in the human body including regulation of blood pH, respiratory drive, and affinity of hemoglobin for oxygen (O2). Fluctuations in CO2 levels are highly regulated and can cause disturbances in the human body if normal levels are not maintained.

So they want to deprive the body of CO2 and kill us all?

mine just switches elements. Not sure if it ever turns both off completely

I don’t have the math but almost any gas fired hot water heater is more efficient than an electric unit. None of this makes any sense unless you apply the greenhouse gas reduction goals which just drives the cost of everything out of sight.
